Our Bureau

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Toonz Animation Academy, the training division of the Thiruvananthapuram-based Toonz Animation India Pvt Ltd, is launching a one-year diploma course in both 2-D and 3-D animation.

The course, which is scheduled to begin in October, will be offered at the company's studio at the Technopark here, a press release said.

The course will expose students to both classroom work and hands-on training programmes, and will also include components from other creative fields such as music, acting and so on.

While those who have passed Class 12 exams can apply for a place in the programme, applicants with a diploma or bachelor's degree in fine arts will be given preference, the press release said. Selection will be based on a scrutiny of portfolios, followed by admission and aptitude tests.
