Hyderabad , Aug. 20

WITH gaming gradually getting popular among youngsters and cyber cafes offering various gaming options, a Hyderabad-based entrepreneur has started Frag-an exclusive LAN (local area network) based gaming centre in Hyderabad.

The Chief Executive Officer and promoter of Frag, Mr Abhishek Rathi, said that typically, gaming is an intensely engaging activity, which calls for an exclusive place for people to enjoy participating in them. However, most of the youngsters who take to gaming now have to either visit a cyber café or need to invest heavily.

Since cyber cafes are frequented by several people other than gaming enthusiasts, there are sometimes limitations and people have to wait for their turn. Therefore, we felt that an exclusive gaming centre such as this would provide wholesome entertainment for gaming lovers, he said.

Citing the recent gaming contest of Reliance-Microsoft combine for Halo and Samsung's initiatives for World Cyber Games, and the popularity for gaming among youngsters, Mr Abhishek said, "We felt that an exclusive gaming centre would provide for a totally exclusive environment. The gaming industry has made rapid strides in countries like Korea and Malaysia, and India is slowly catching up on this popular entertainment."
