Madurai , Aug. 23

THE Tamil Nadu Co-operative Employees Federation has urged the Government to allot funds for the revival of the weavers' co-operative societies reeling under financial crisis.

An executive committee meeting of the federation held here recently pleaded that for several weavers' societies that are unable to meet the production target for the co-optex, the Government should provide funds for their revival.

The meeting further demanded that the interest on provident fund savings be enhanced to 12 per cent.
