Our Bureau

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The strike called by the employees of the 105-odd private buses plying in the Capital from Tuesday midnight has been withdrawn after an agreement was reached between bus operators and representatives of trade unions.

The bus operators have since agreed to disburse bonus of 14.5 per cent to the employees before August 25, as part of the agreement reached. The conciliatory talks were held here in the presence of the District Deputy Labour Officer, Mr Sasidharan Nair.
