Move to end AP co-op stir

HYDERABAD: The Andhra Pradesh Minister for Cooperation, Mr K. Lakshminarayana, has informed the representatives of various political parties that the State Cooperation Secretary would hold talks with employees associations of the Primary Agricultural Credit Cooperatives and Societies to clarify issues pertaining to the paid secretaries of the associations.

The Minister convened a meeting of leaders of political parties in the background of an agitation launched by the paid secretaries. It was agreed at the meeting that the agitation programme would be suspended with immediate effect, according to an official press release here on Tuesday.
