Visakhapatnam , Aug. 24

LIKE the other major steel plants in the country, Visakhapatnam Steel Plant too has decided to reduce the prices of its products.

In a release, the plant said that with effect from Tuesday, the prices of all its products would be brought down by Rs 1,000 per tonne.

This is in line with the decision taken by the steel majors in the country in an effort to contain the inflationary trends in the economy and make steel available to consumers at reasonable prices in the domestic market.

In another release, the plant said that it had bagged the World Quality Commitment Award given by the Spain-based International Selection Committee of Business Initiative Directions (BID) for leadership, quality, innovation, excellence, technological improvement, customer service and image.
