Travel and Tourism Fair in Hyderabad

THE second edition of the Travel and Tourism Fair (TTF-2004) will begin on Friday.

About 100 participants from different segments of the tourism industry are expected to take part in the three-day event.

The Governments of Nepal, Indonesia and Thailand are also participating in the fair.

Dr J. Geeta Reddy, Minister for Tourism and Sugar, told newspersons that there would be official representations from 16 States.

The Andhra Pradesh Government will focus on rural tourism. "We are going to develop some villages which brought fame to the State. Places like Pochampally, Kuchipudi, Chinchinada (East Godavari district) and Kondakarla Aava (Visakhapatnam) would be developed as tourism destinations."
