Bharti Broadband bags Bank of India deal

New Delhi , Aug. 25

BHARTI Broadband and Data Group has bagged a contract for the core-banking project of Bank of India.

The project, would be implemented in association with Hewlett Packard India (HP) and involves setting up of a wide area network for providing an inter-city and intra-city connectivity system to the bank.

Bharti Broadband and Data Group will provide terrestrial connectivity to network 31 network aggregation points and 750 branches.

Besides networking, the company will also be responsible for the maintenance of the entire network across the country. The contract is for a period of 10 years.

The contract was signed between Mr D.K. Krishnamurthy, General Manager M (IT), Bank of India, and Mr Rajiv Sharma, Chief Executive Officer, Bharti Broadband and Data Group.
