`Smart Kitchen' outlets of TTK Prestige to go national soon

TTK Prestige, manufacturer of kitchen appliances, is in the midst of an exercise to fuel foot falls into its Smart Kitchen outlets which is all set to go national.

The company plans to grow the Smart Kitchen brand by offering a variety of events in the store, including recipe contests and special offers, for members of the Prestige Privilege Club, a loyalty programme which it is planning to introduce.

Talking to the press to announce the opening of its first Smart Kitchen out of the South in Pune, Mr Chandru Kalro, Vice-President, Marketing, said the company plans to have a hundred such showrooms across the country by March 2006. "Over the next four weeks, we will open at least twelve such stores across the western part of the country. By March 2005, we will have fifty five stores," he added.

The company will also simultaneously fuel growth by investing in exclusive `Prestige corners' in multi-brand retail stores where it will display its range of products. The company's sales, meanwhile have shot up in the first quarter of this fiscal to Rs 37 crore as against Rs 24 crore during the corresponding period last year.
