Taj Soft plans to ramp up BPO unit

TAJ Software Systems Corp, a Brooklyn, New York-based software development firm, has decided to strengthen its fledgling business process outsourcing outfit in Hyderabad.

The 1996 formed company, promoted by a non-resident Indian from Hyderabad, has bagged an order from a California publishing company for digitising.

The contract would be executed out of the Hyderabad unit called Taj Software Systems Pvt Ltd, which would be an independent business entity, Mr Javeed Mirza, President of the US-based parent company, has said.

The 25-member team had recently implemented a data conversion project for the New York State Housing Department.

"We hope to treble our manpower and up our investment from the present Rs 1 crore," he said.
