Rubber prices improve further

PHYSICAL rubber prices improved further on Tuesday. The covering groups were active chasing the narrow arrivals. According to sources, certain major manufacturers were also present in the market. Sheet rubber moved up to Rs 55.25 from Rs 55.00 on Monday.

The futures market was almost steady on Tuesday. The September delivery was quoted at Rs 56.03 (56.14), October delivery at Rs 53.80 (53.80), November delivery at Rs 53.26 (53.26) and December delivery at Rs 52.54 (52.72) per kg for RSS 4.

The spot market rates per kg on Tuesday were as follows: RSS 4: 55.25 (55.00); RSS 5: 51.75 (51.50); ungraded: 51.25 (51.00); ISNR 20: 50.50 (50.50); latex 60 per cent: 38.00(38.00)
