Spot rubber prices decline on sales

Kottayam , Sept. 2

rubberSPOT rubber prices declined on Thursday. The covering groups and purchase agents abstained, while selling from traders pushed down the prices though the arrivals continued to be low.

Sheet rubber moved down to Rs 54.25 from Rs 55 a kg on Wednesday. ISNR 20 and latex were steady but the transactions were meagre.

The rubber futures showed a positive trend with moderate volumes.

The September delivery was quoted at Rs 54.68 (54.15), October delivery Rs 52.86 (52.22), November delivery Rs 52.50 (52.13) and December delivery at Rs 52.30 (51.98) per kg for RSS 4.

The September futures for RSS 3 closed at 138.4 yen against 138.5 yen at TOCOM.

The spot market rates per kg on Thursday were as follows: RSS 4 54.25 (55); RSS 5 51.50 (51.75); Ungraded 50 (50.50); ISNR 20 50 (50); & Latex 60% 39 (39).
