Chamber welcomes NFTP

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Chamber of Commerce, Thiruvananthapuram, has welcomed the New Foreign Trade Policy (NFTP).

The NFTP will translate into significant gains for Kerala's export sector by boosting the prospects of the export-based industries in the State. This will help boost the export economy as a whole, a Chamber spokesman said.

Kerala stands to gain from the Visesh Krishi Upaj Yojna for promoting exports of fruits, vegetables, flowers and small products as also the proposed Special Economic Zones for handlooms in Kannur and marine products at Aroor, the chamber said.
