Our Bureau

Mangalore , Sept. 2

THE President of the Nitte Education Trust, Mr N. Vinay Hegde, has said that the Indian business scenario, which has seen lot of changes in the past few years, is full of opportunities.

He was presiding over the inauguration of the "bridge course" for the first year MBA students of the Justice K.S. Hegde Institute of Management at Nitte in Udupi district .

Referring to the current situation, Mr Hegde said that the procedures of business management are changing every day.

Earning confidence of colleagues is the most critical area in the career of any person, and management students should give importance on this aspect, he added.

The former Chairman and Managing Director of Syndicate Bank, Dr N.K. Thingalaya, who inaugurated the course, said that management institute is trying to instil confidence among students to face the `corporate jungle'. "The institute can make you fit to face the corporate jungle, but can't provide life jacket," he told students.

Ms Nancy Lewis, Manager (Finance), ING Vysya Bank Ltd, Bangalore, who is also the old student of Justice K.S. Hegde Institute of Management, said students should enjoy handling challenges. Asking them to be assertive in their ventures, she said this would help them develop articulation skills.
