THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: State Bank of Travancore (SBT) has constituted an audit committee on customer service, says a press release issued by the bank.

The committee will implement the recommendations of the Tarapore Committee, set up by the Reserve Bank of India to look into the performance of public services by banks, the press release adds.

The committee, which has a one-year tenure, will be headed by Mr P.P. Pattanayak, Chief General Manager, SBT, and will ensure timely and effective implementation of the RBI instructions, the release states. The committee will review prevailing practices and procedures at the bank and will modify them if required, the release added.
