SEBI cancels registration of 46 stockbrokers

Mumbai , Sept 3

THE Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) has cancelled the certificate of registration of 46 stockbrokers. These brokers were declared as defaulters by the stock exchange and have failed to fulfil the pre-requisite condition of registration as stockbroker with SEBI, according to a press release.

Twenty four of these brokers were members of the Over the Counter Exchange of India (OTCEI), 15 from National Stock Exchange, five from Ahmedabad Stock Exchange and two from Delhi Stock Exchange.
