Concerto Bangalore centre to be operational by Oct

CONTACT centre solution company Concerto Software on Friday said its new development facility `Concerto Technology centre' in Bangalore would be operational by early October.

"The research and development (R&D) unit called Concerto Technology Centre will be a wholly-owned subsidiary of Concerto Software Inc. The centre will be inaugurated on October 5," Mr Pramod Ratwani, Vice-President (Asia Pacific & Middle East), Concerto Software Asia Pacific, said here.

The facility would be inaugurated by Mr James Foy, President and CEO of Concerto Software. The company has already announced an investment of $5 million for the upcoming centre.

The new development centre with a capacity to house 150 professionals would primarily undertake development activities including development of module of core products, localisation of products that are sold in the Asian markets such as China and Korea.

In addition, it would also provide support services for worldwide customers.

Concerto currently has three R&D centres located in Boston, Miami and Atlanta with 175 professionals. "They are involved with developing existing range of products and the new versions," he pointed out.

"The hiring for the India centre is currently on and we hope to have 150 professionals by early next year," he said. The company also plans to set up an office in Mumbai by the end of this year
