Farm credit Agri-Biz & Commodities - Farm credit Vijaya Bank farm credit target for Kerala Our Bureau
KOCHI: Vijaya Bank has set a target of Rs 90 crore to be disbursed to the State's agricultural sector during the current year. It has also drawn up a programme to double the credit flow into the agricultural sector in the next three years. In order to achieve these targets and objectives, the bank conducted a one-day programme here on Saturday for its managers and field staff. The one-day programme was meant to sensitise the managers to empower and energise them to achieve these goals and objectives, a press release issued here has said. The programme was inaugurated by Mr Ashok Kmar Thekan, Chief Executive Officer, Vegetable and Fruit Promotion Council of Kerala. All the rural and urban branches of the bank in the State have been instructed to finance at least 100 new farmers during the current year, including Kisan Credit Cards, the release said. The bank proposed to finance all types of agricultural activities extensively through its 69 branches in the State.
