Hardware Hardware institute to open 25 centres in eastern region Our Bureau
Kolkata , Sept. 6 THE Bangalore-headquartered Indian Institute of Hardware Technology (IIHT) has planned to open 25 new centres in the eastern region within the next one year, according to Mr N. Keshav Raju, CEO of IIHT. Speaking at a function held here on Monday to inaugurate a new centre, Mr Raju said IIHT had a total of 125 centres and was focussed on providing comprehensive training with a view to developing skills that would meet the future requirements of country's IT environment. IIHT's curriculum includes training in areas such as IT hardware maintenance and systems and network administration. The centre that was inaugurated here today is stated to be the largest centre of IIHT. Speaking on the occasion, Mr Yashwant Sinha, former Union External Affairs Minister, said that, in the information age, concepts and methodologies have changed. Both software and hardware technology would play an increasingly-important role in the future.
