Strategy Lucky draw for co-op milk buyers of Dakshina Kannada Our Bureau
MANGALORE: Now the milk buyers in Dakshina Kannada district can hope for winning a gold coin, provided they buy it from the Dakshina Kannada Co-operative Milk Producers' Union (DKCMPU). To motivate the people to buy its `Nandini' brand of milk, the union has launched a lucky draw scheme. Under this, consumers will get a coupon every Sunday till December 31, on purchase of a litre of `Nandini' milk. The DKCMPU will hold a draw every Monday to select two winners of the gold coin. Apart from this, those dealers, door-delivery boys and transport contractors, who supplied milk to the winners, will be given cash prizes. The DKCMPU conducted the first draw at its premises on Monday. The Dean of Kasturba Medical College, Mangalore, Dr C.V. Raghuveer, picked the winners (coupon numbers: 121913 and 174943), on the occasion. Dr M.N. Venkataramu, Managing Director of DKCMPU, was present.
