Oracle unveils new e-business suite

ORACLE on Monday announced its new Oracle E-business suite 11i.10 with industry-specific functionalities and business intelligence capabilities would be available worldwide in November.

"We had 40 new application customers in India last year. And although we cannot give the projections for the new offering, we see the market bullish and see encouraging response from existing customers and others," Mr Shekhar Dasgupta, Managing Director, Oracle India, said.

According to an Oracle spokesperson, the company's India team has contributed to the development of the latest offering.

"We have a strong team working on applications development in Hyderabad. They contribute to global product development and every product that is launched has contributions from the India team. The team has also contributed to Oracle E-business Suite 11i.10," the spokesperson added.

Oracle E-business Suite 11i.10 has new functionalities in three areas - business intelligence, integration and industry specific modules.

Among the industries targeted in this release are aerospace and defence, automotive, chemicals, communications, consumer products, energy, healthcare, high technology, industrial manufacturing, life sciences, public sector, retail, travel and transportation and utilities.
