VISAKHAPATNAM: The RBI has given permission to the IndusInd Bank to convert its extension counter at the CDR Hospital here into a full-fledged branch, according to a press release issued by the bank.

In the release issued here on Monday, Mr Suresh Pai, Executive Vice-president, said that with the conversion the total number of branches would rise to 65, besides 11 extension counters and 80 off-site ATMs.

The Vizag extension counter at the CDR Hospital had completed five years by July and it had met the other stipulations of the RBI to be converted into a branch, he said.

He said the conversion would enable the branch to carry out credit and foreign exchange business as well and generate more business for the bank. He said the bank would focus on the retail segment.
