TeleSynergy, Descon ink pact to set up Kolkata call centre

TELESYNERGY Research Inc of US, a provider of IP-enabled office communication solutions, has decided to set up a call centre in the city jointly with Descon Ltd, an consultancy firm promoted by DPSC Ltd. . An MoU in this regard has been signed between the two companies.

Announcing this, Mr James Y. Kou, CEO of TeleSynergy, and Mr S. Radhakrishnan, Director and CEO of Descon, said that the centre, with an initial capacity of 100 seats, would be ready to start functioning within two months from Descon's premises at Salt Lake.

TeleSynergy proposes to invest about $4.5 million in the venture, while an equivalent amount will be invested by Descon.

The US company's initial investment would be $1 million to create 100 seats.

TeleSynergy has already set up two call centres in India, one in Kerala and the other in Gujarat, through the joint venture route.

This will be the third such centre to outsource communication services from India for its overseas clients.
