Our Bureau

BANGALORE: US-based network and application performance management solutions provider Network General Corporation (NGC) said it plans to invest $10 million to expand its India research and development operations over the next three years.

Mr Bruce Fram, President and CEO, NGC, announcing the launch of India operations, said the company would grow its headcount by 30 per cent annually.

NGC plans to increase its headcount to 100 from 70 currently at its Bangalore centre, the second largest outside US, in three months, Mr Fram said.

The R&D team at Bangalore will be responsible for product development, customer-facing engineering and various cycles of quality assurance. US private equity firms Silver Lake Partners and Texas Pacific Group own NCG, formerly the Sniffer Technologies division of anti-virus firm McAfee, which they acquired early this year.
