Amaron PitStop at Vizag

VISAKHAPATNAM: Amara Raja Batteries Ltd is on an retail drive to enhance its market share substantially by the end of the current financial year, said Mr G. Indeevar, Head (Automotive Division).

He was speaking on the occasion of opening of Amaron PitStop, the first in the city.

"We have set up 43 PitStops so far to offer the best service to customers and our aim is to set up 15 more by the end of the financial year,'' he said.

He said the company had recently introduced Amaron PRO with a 48-month warranty, unique in the industry, and other products such as Amaron Hi-life (for passenger cars), Amaron Hi-way (trucks) and Amaron Harvest (tractors) were also doing very well.

"Andhra Pradesh is a key market for us. The collection of used batteries is a critical step in controlling backyard smelting by scrap merchants. Through the Amaron PitStop, we have a system whereby used batteries go through the right channels and are recycled in a safe manner," he said.
