BANGALORE: Suprajeet Engineering Ltd, a Bangalore- based auto component manufacturing company, will be setting up a 100 per cent export oriented manufacturing unit in Bangalore to produce automotive cables. The new unit will be 50:50 joint venture with the UK-based Carlco Plc. at an estimated £1.5 million.

The British company, with its global operations in the US, Europe and China, is one of the leading manufacturers of automotive cables. Apart from buying back from the new unit, Carlco would also develop additional market for the product to be sourced from the joint venture. The two partners are yet to finalise the details of projections for output and marketing arrangements, said a company release.
