Bangalore , Sept. 13

TELELOGIC, the Sweden-based software company providing solutions for advanced systems and software development, has upgraded its presence in India from sales and technology representatives to a full-fledged product development centre. The offshore centre opened in Bangalore is its first product development in Asia and the fourth such facility after its centres in Europe and US.

Announcing this here at a press conference on Monday, Mr Anders Lidbeck, President & CEO, said that the Bangalore lab would initially focus on performing test and quality assurance of Telelogic's integrated product offering. It will have 20 professionals by this year-end and would provide support for requirement-driven development in automated lifecycle management strategy.

Identifying India as a fast growing market in Asia, Mr Lidbeck said with an annual compounded growth rate of 20 per cent in its sales in the last three years, Telelogic decided to strengthen its presence through a full-fledged establishment.

Declining to quantify the investment, he said a significant amount would be spent on developing infrastructure and scaling up the staff strength to provide better services to its Indian clients.

Mr Lidbeck stated that the Indian centre would help Telelogic in capacity building to meet its increasing global market share in providing critical software products and services in application management for complex processes.
