Private Banks Marketing - Strategy Bharat Overseas hires marketing consultants Our Bureau
Chennai , Sept. 13 BHARAT Overseas Bank has announced hiring of consultants for a variety of jobs. It has engaged the services of Mentor Consulting of Chennai to spruce up its marketing capabilities. Bharat Overseas Bank, which has recently implemented a core banking solution, expects to have excess staff on its hands on account of the computerisation. The excess staff "would be inducted into hardcore marketing with necessary training inputs," said the bank's Chairman, Mr G. Krishna Murthy. The bank has engaged the services of a consultancy firm called `Risk Corporate Services Ltd' for a business process re-engineering exercise. The consultants have completed a preliminary `image study' and are at present "examining the systems and procedures followed by the bank," officials said at a press conference here. Further, it has hired ICRA Advisory Services for consultancy in enterprise-wide risk management. With the implementation of the Flexcube core banking solution, the bank is now able to offer anywhere banking services to its customers. Alongside, the bank has also launched `anytime banking'.
