Dr Reddy's signs MoU with BITS

Hyderabad , Sept. 13

DR Reddy's Laboratories Ltd has announced that at the convocation for its employees, 51 of them were awarded MSc in Pharmaceutical Chemistry by the Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS), Pilani.

In a press release here on Monday, the company said it had signed a memorandum of understanding with BITS to promote educational and research activities in the areas of Chemistry, Pharmacy and Biotechnology. At present, BITS operates an off-campus centre at the company, where educational programmes are conducted to meet the development needs of Dr Reddy's employees. These programmes are equivalent to the corresponding degrees offered on-campus.

The company said it had conducted four convocations so far and over two 100 employees were awarded degrees and certificates in various courses, including Integrated Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, MSc in Pharmaceutical Chemistry, MS in Pharmaceutical Operations and Management, Intellectual Property Management and Project Management.
