Nokia mobile gaming contest

TO capitalise on the growing popularity of mobile gaming, Nokia on Tuesday flagged off the first ever-mobile gaming championship titled `N-Gage QD Challenge Mobile Gaming Championship'

"Our strategic intent is to become the world leader in enriching people's life with connected mobile music, imaging and games. Our marketing strategy will be focused on driving consumer mobile multimedia and expanding mobile voice," said Mr Mauro Montanaro, Vice-President, Sales and Channel management, Nokia Multimedia, Asia Pacific.

The N-Gage QD challenge Mobile Gaming Championship will cover 47 cities and have three qualifying rounds. The winner of the championship will be selected in October 2004 and walk away with a bumper prize of Rs 10 lakh.

The company has also kicked off new advertising campaigns to promote the N-Gage QD phones
