Idea, CNBC to host transform India series

IDEA Cellular Ltd, the private telecom operator, has partnered with CNBC, the business channel, to bring in a series of programmes titled the power of Idea that seek to transform the society and show alternative approaches to development be it education, healthcare, social welfare or agriculture spheres.

Addressing a press conference here today, the Vice-President of Idea, Mr Rajat Mukarji, said: "The power of an Idea series with CNBC is an unique approach towards communication and stands apart from the standard practices of advertising and marketing. It seeks to involve itself in a meaningful manner to contribute something substantial, innovative and practical ideas that could be used to make the lives better for people in India."

While the nine-part programme is arranged across cities, the first one held at Ahmedabad covered higher education, the second relates to the agriculture sector and third being hosted here is on healthcare sector. The fourth to be held at Kochi would cover social welfare and the last one is to be rounded off at Delhi.
