Lanco Amarkantak signs MoU with Lytag

Hyderabad , Sept. 16

LANCO Amarkantak Power Pvt Ltd, belonging to the Lanco group, has entered into a memorandum of understanding with the Chhattisgarh Industrial Development Corporation (CSIDC) and Lytag Asia Ltd of the UK for setting up a Rs 120-crore project for manufacturing construction material based on fly ash produced by power plants.

According to a company press release, a special purpose vehicle, Lytag-Asia, will develop the project.

The first phase of the project will be ready by 2006 and the second phase will be completed by 2008.

Lanco Amarkantak is developing Pathadi Thermal Power Station in Korba district of Chhattisgarh. The fly ash project will be established adjacent to the power plant.
