Jubilant expects 60% rise in net profit

JUBILANT Organosys Ltd is expecting a 40 per cent increase in sales and a 60 per cent growth in net profit during the current year, the Chairman, Mr Shyam Bhartia, told the company's annual general meeting on Wednesday.

Last year, the company posted a consolidated net revenue of Rs 858.7 crore, along with a profit after tax of Rs 78.2 crore.

Mr Bhartia said revenues, on a consolidated basis, recorded an increase of 46 per cent during the first five months of fiscal 2004-05 to Rs 466.1 crore compared to Rs 319.8 crore during the corresponding period last year.

The pharmaceuticals and life sciences chemicals business recorded a 68 per cent growth and accounted for 43 per cent of the revenues, Mr Bhartia said.

He also said revenues from the international markets stood at Rs 156.9 crore showing a growth of 97 per cent.
