RINL earns Rs 1,547-cr net

VISAKHAPATNAM: Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Ltd (RINL) earned a net profit of Rs 1,547.19 crore during 2003-2004, it was stated at the annual general meeting here on Thursday.

The audited accounts for the period (1-4-2003 to 31-3-2004) were adopted at the meeting chaired by the Chairman and Managing Director, Mr B.K Panda. The sales turnover during the period amounted to Rs 6,169 crore and the company had become debt-free during the year.

It had been awarded the Prime Minister's trophy for the excellent performance in the steel industry, added the press release issued by RINL.
