LanceSoft opens Chennai centre

LANCESOFT India Pvt. Ltd, a subsidiary of the US-based LanceSoft Inc, has set up its operations here to support the global business operations of its parent company.

The company began the Chennai centre with 25 people and plans to increase the number to about 150 by December- end, and cross 1,000 by December 2005, said Mr Selwyn Abraham, CEO and Director (International Operations), LanceSoft Ltd, UK.

According to Mr Abraham, the company would invest about Rs 12 crore in India. The Chennai centre would provide services such as business process outsourcing and call centre to support the global clientele of LanceSoft. It would also do research and development on various domains, including RFID technologies, he said.
