Visakhapatnam , Sept. 17

TENSION gripped Visakha Co-operative Dairy on Friday, as the Congress legislators and workers managed to stop elections to the posts of three directors, alleging bogus voting. The police resorted to lathicharge to bring the situation under control. The elections were postponed.

The co-operative dairy, reputed to be one of the best in the State, has been developed on the lines of Amul under the leadership of Mr A. Tulasi Rao, Chairman and Telugu Desam leader. The local Congress legislators have been campaigning to break the domination of the Telugu Desam.
