BSNL(Ker) awards presented

KOTTAYAM: About 1,200 new BSNL towers to be completed in March next year will mainly be concentrated in villages, said Mr.S.A.Thomas, Chief General Manager, BSNL Kerala Circle. The towers will be setup as part of the attempt to transfer the progress of information technology to rural areas, he said.

Mr Thomas was distributing BSNL, Kottayam Telecom District Sanchar Sevak Pathak and Bharath Samachar Saradhi Awards at a function held at Kottayam. The recipients of the Sanchar Sevak Pathak Awards are Ms K.Anitha , Assst. Accounts Officer, Kottayam, and Mr G. Joseph, Sub Divisional Officer, Pala.

Those who received the Bharath Sanchar Saradhi Awards are Mr.C.R Ramachandran, Telecom Mechanic, Mr K. Prakasam, Technical Assistant, and Ms Achamma Jose, Junior Accountant. The award consists of Rs 11,000 and a citation.

Mr S.R Pillai , Principal GM, Eranakulam, presided. Mr K.S.Sreenivasan, Principal GM, Kottayam, Mr.C.Sasidharan GM Pathanamthitta and Mr. N.C.V.N.L Narasimham, Development GM, Kottayam, spoke on the occasion.
