LIC(Hyd) pact with HelpAge

HYDERABAD: The South Central Zone of Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) has announced the regional alliance with HelpAge India, a non-governmental organisation into serving the needs of aged people, wherein the NGO would act as corporate agent for the insurance company for selling the insurance products.

Addressing a meeting on the eve, the LIC Zonal Manager, Mr T. Chattopadhyay, said the alliance would help the NGO earn handsome amounts as fee-based income and enables LIC to further penetrate to new markets.

The HelpAge India Regional Director (South), Ms Indrani Rajadurai, said the corporate agency helps the NGO to generate a sustained income for its activities of uplifting the needy and aged.
