Soil Health Cards for TN farmers

Madurai , Sept. 21

THE Agricultural Department has plans to issue `Soil Health Cards' to farmers during the current financial year, according to an official release.

The release from Pudukottai said the farmers would be advised on application of fertilisers, after the nature and the texture of the soil are ascertained. Already 7,600 soil samples have been collected.

To ensure supply of quality fertilisers samples have been sent for analysis, sources said.
