Parry Agro drops rights issue

CHENNAI: Parry Agro has informed the Bombay Stock Exchange that it has decided not to proceed with the rights issue.

In February, the company had informed the exchange that its board approved a rights issue of one share for every six shares held. It planned to issue over 6.26 lakh shares of Rs 10 each for a maximum of Rs 150 a share.

According to sources in the know, the company has decided against the issue because of the time lapse. The company was to generate about Rs 9 crore.
