Faber India launches promo in Kerala market

FABER India, a joint venture of kitchen chimney company Faber SpA of Italy and Heatkraft of India, has launched a marketing and promotional campaign in the State to boost its sales.

The company has earmarked a total budget of Rs 10 crore for the campaign in the next four months to achieve a growth rate of 80 per cent by March 2005, Mr K. Hira, Senior Vice-President, Faber Heatkraft Industries Ltd, said at a press meet.

With the implementation of the new marketing and expansion initiatives, the turnover is expected to touch Rs 70 crore from Rs 40 crore last year, he added.

Last year, the company had sold 25,000 chimneys and this year, with the new promotional campaign, the sale is expected to touch 50,000. The total sales during April 2004 to March 2005 is expected to be over 1,00,000 units.

Referring to the kitchen chimney market in the country, Mr Hira said it is around 1.25 lakh units per annum, which may touch 2 lakh by March 2005 and 3 lakh by March 2006.
