Jet Airways to use Mercator's revenue accounting system

Vimala Vasan

Abu Dhabi , Sept. 22

MERCATOR, the Dubai-based IT division of the Emirates Group, has successfully implemented its RAPID airline revenue accounting system at India's Jet Airways — the first airline on the subcontinent to use the system.

Mercator developed the RAPID revenue accounting solution to fully meet the financial planning and management information needs of the world's major airlines.

Specialists from Mercator have been working closely with the Jet Airways team in Mumbai, providing business consultancy and project management essential to the system's successful launch.

RAPID gives airlines a clear view of how their businesses are performing. The system quickly and accurately transforms the data on passenger tickets and cargo air waybills into a stream of financial and strategic information.
