Kolkata , Sept. 24 ELECTROLUX Kelvinator Ltd has earmarked Rs 40 crore for marketing and advertising in 2004. The company hopes this will help its revenue to grow by 20 per cent in the current calendar year, according to Mr Ajay Kapila, Vice-President (Sales & Marketing) of Electrolux Kelvinator Ltd. Addressing a news conference held here today to mark the launch of a new range of front-loading washing machines, Mr Kapila said Kelvinator was hopeful of garnering a 20 per cent share of the domestic market for front-loading washing machines. As of now, 95 per cent of the company's turnover is accounted for by sales of refrigerators. In the run-up to the festive season, the company today announced a promotional campaign titled "Great products at dream prices". Under the promotional offer, air-conditioners, washing machines and grills would be available at "attractive" prices. To boost sales, the company has planned to open 10 exclusive Electrolux showrooms in the days ahead. During the promotional period, Electrolux was hopeful of generating additional business of about 40 per cent in the eastern region, Mr Kapila said and refrained from mentioning absolute numbers in this regard.
