MANGALORE: The New Mangalore Port Trust (NMPT) recently observed `Hindi Day and Day of Linguistic Harmony amongst Indian languages' , according to a NMPT press release.

The Chairman in-charge of NMPT, Mr G. J. Rao, who presided over the function, urged everybody to put in his/her best efforts to promote Hindi in every transaction of the organisation.

Winners of various competitions, held in connection with the Hindi Day celebrations, were given prizes.
