Changes in BSE indices take effect from today

THE changes effected by the BSE Index Committee on its indices come into force from Monday. L&T re-enters the 30-stock Sensex with the exit of MTNL.

In the BSE-100, 22 companies are being replaced that included Biocon, Canara Bank, Divi's Lab, HCL Infosys, Hughes Software, J&K Bank, MICO, Oriental Bank, Patni Computers and UTI Bank.

Among the out goers are Apollo Tyres, Ballarpur Industries, Balaji Telefilms, Britannia, Castrol, Engineers India, Escorts, MRF and Punjab National Bank.

Fourty four scrips are being replaced in the BSE-200 and 56 in the BSE-500 while four have been replaced in the BSE TECk (IT, media, telecom) index.

HCL Infosystems, NDTV, Tata Teleservices and TV Today are coming in the place of ETC Networks, Macmillan, Mastek and Tata Telecom in the BSE TECk.
