People BoB chief Shenoy is new IBA chairman Our Bureau
Mumbai , Sept. 27 THE Indian Banks' Association has elected Mr P.S. Shenoy, Chairman and Managing Director, Bank of Baroda, as its new Chairman for 2004-05. Mr Shenoy has taken over the reins as IBA Chairman from Mr V. Leeladhar, CMD of Union Bank of India, who joined the Reserve Bank of India as a Deputy Governor last week. The IBA managing committee at its meeting held here on Monday, also elected Mr Niall S.K. Booker, Chief Executive of HSBC, along with Mr B.D. Narang, CMD of Oriental Bank of Commerce, and Mr V.P. Shetty, CMD, UCO Bank, as Deputy Chairmen of the association, according to a press release. Mr Ananthakrishna, Chairman and Chief Executive, Karnataka Bank, has been elected secretary, the release said.
