KOCHI: Malayalam film actor Mohanlal and Pankajakasthuri Herbals Pvt Ltd have joined hands in launching a new concept in health tourism — Santham Herbal Village, a luxury resort to provide authentic Ayurvedic treatment.

The club membership sale of Santham Herbal Village was formally inaugurated by Mr Mohanlal in the presence of Dr J. Hareendran Nair, Managing Director, Pankajakasthuri Herbals here on Monday. The membership fee is fixed at Rs 1.5 lakh for 15 years, which will be restricted only to 400 members.

The company has acquired 20 acres of land at Vellanad in Thiruvananthapuram for setting up 40 cottages attached with treatment rooms. The club will be providing authentic treatment to its members and their family year after year. There were plans to open more such resorts in all the 14 districts in the State by 2020, Dr Nair said.
