Madurai, Sept. 30

INDIAN Oil Corporation (IOC) and Tractor and Farm Equipments Ltd (TAFE) have entered into a mutual tie-up to market each other's products.

IOC launched here today its exclusive engine oil `TAFE Engine Oil' for tractors manufactured by TAFE and this is to be marketed through TAFE dealer and trade network. And, in turn TAFE spare parts will be marketed through IOC retail outlets.

Mr A.K. Bose, General Manager, (Lubes), HO, Mumbai and Mr K.R. Sureshkumar, Deputy General Manager, TNSO, Chennai of Indian Oil, and Mr C.S. Subramanian, General Manager, (Spare parts), TAFE, addressing a press meet here today said, the tie-up is to reach out the rural segment through their networks.

The idea is to cover villages or cluster of villages where 100 tractors are in operation and give to them quality products at an affordable price.

While the TAFE engine oil will be available in 20 litres, 7.5 litres and 1 litre packing to meet the varied requirements of the customers, 65 IOC rural retail outlets will be marketing 17 identified spare parts of TPFE Tractors.

IOC also launched today its Servo Sadbhavana programme aimed at the retaining its retail customers. The programme offers very attractive gifts of consumer articles, they said.
