DDA signs MoU with infrastructure finance corpn

THE Delhi Development Authority (DDA) on Thursday has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Infrastructure Development Finance Company (IDFC) Ltd.

"The objective of entering into this MoU is speedy, comprehensive and orderly development of urban infrastructure projects wherever possible in a Public-Private partnership framework. The aim is to establish an institutional mechanism whereby DDA can access expert advise on a continuous basis in respect of project ideas that may be identified from time to time," a release issued by DDA said.

DDA has identified a few projects wherein IDFC would provide its assistance. This includes preparation of redevelopment plan for Kashmiri Gate — Tis Hazari — Pul Bangash Metro Corridor and Bhalaswa site project.
