Seagate sponsors remedial coaching programme for underprivileged

SEAGATE Technology on Friday announced its sponsorship of a coaching programme for students from underprivileged families to complete their school education.

"Under the Nava Astha Remedial Coaching Programme sponsored by Seagate and organised by an NGO Scope Plus, 50 students from classes 9th to 12th will be offered special coaching in subsidised classes through two centres, one located in South Delhi and the other in West Delhi," a Seagate release said here.

Nava Astha Remedial Coaching Programme is a six-month programme for children from economically weaker sections of the community.

The programme aims to provide support for the children to obtain a basic school certificate that would equip them with an academic foundation for their future careers.

A Class 10 or Class 12 certificate is a Central/State Board exam certificate and is recognised as a minimum qualification for jobs and technical courses.
